Shaving Party

With Lane's Dad in Chemo, he was starting to loose his hair. I think he was in denial and wanted to wait as long as he could before shaving it off. Once he decided it was time, we all went down to a hair school in Provo that Lane knows the owner so we had enough free hair cuts for everyone. I was having a bit of a panic attack because Hudson has these long curly locks that I was hesitant to cut off. Tim and Steph told me I didn't have to shave his head if I didn't want too. I felt like by me allowing to shave his hair it's my way of showing support to Tim. And hair is such a worldly thing that I can sacrifice, it grows back. . .hopefully curly!!

Before we started Tim was pulling his hair out and showing the kids. Brookie pulled out a bunch and threw it away. I think she was a little grossed out.

You can't blame me for thinking twice (or 3 or 4 or 5) times about cutting those locks off!!!

This seriously was a huge ordeal! I knew I was going to cry because I seriously love Hudson's hair. But I was crying because he was freaking out and I felt bad that we were doing it. But by that point it was too late to turn back. We just had to push forward and get it done.

Once Jayden was done, he came over and held Hudson's hand and talked to him. Hudson calmed right down and stopped screaming.
It was seriously the cutest thing ever!
And then he got him to smile and laugh!!

After it was all said and done, I was sooo glad I did it! He looks so freaking adorable!! Him and Lane look identical now! I feel like with his shaggy hair you over looked his facial features, now all you see is that cute face of his!!

Christmas 2011

Slowly but surely I will get caught up. Christmas this year we spent Christmas Eve with Laci and her family. She made a delicious meal and then we let the kids decorate cookies and open presents.

They were all a little crazy, to say the least.
The girls had matching jammies. . .

The Mom's had matching jammies. . .
And we looked for the Dad's but didn't find anything, besides they probably wouldn't have like to have matching clothes!!

After the fun night there we head home and put the kids to bed. And then Santa came!!!

I think Hudson was a little overwhelmed because there was so much to do and to look at!!

We made him take a picture with the hat on and obviously he hated it!

After we had opened all our presents we headed over to Lane's parent's house where we opened more presents and had breakfast.

This little man is obsessed with dart guns! I mean OBSESSED!!! He loves them!

After a delicious breakfast we went home and all took a nap and then headed up to the cabin to be with my family. On the way up we had a slight mishap. For some reason I was driving, don't ask me why, Lane ALWAYS drives when we are together. Well on this delightful Christmas Day I was driving and Lane mentions that he wants to see a deer so that we can show Hudson, well about 3 minutes later we saw one. . .and hit it. Yes on Christmas I hit a deer. It was great! We got out and looked at the car and there was some damage and all of sudden Brookie is out of the car all concerned. I hit the deer and then proceeded to run it over, I was sure it would be dead lying in the road. Nope it got up and ran away! Stupid deer!! It cost $1700 worth of damage, thank goodness for insurance.

Once we got up to the cabin we had an amazing dinner and opened presents yet again. By this time Hudson was done opening presents and just wanted to play so I only have one picture. But we had fun, spent the night there with the whole family except for Coleen. She was missed. We had a great Christmas!!

Good friends, good times

With Matt and Cassie in town for Thanksgiving we got some friends together and headed up to the cabin to hang out. We had a lot of fun and it was a good excuse to get everyone together. Matt, Cassie and Brynlie, Matt and Anne, Trevor, Andi and Evaleigh and us all spent the night. Once the kids were all in bed we played games, watched a movie and stayed up way to late.

They boys played with the kids while the girls made dinner.

In the morning we had Todd, Rachel and Greyer, Scott, Karis and Mack come up. I'm a slacker and didn't get any pictures of them but we ate, put most of the kids down for a nap and then sat around the fire talking while they guys watched sports.

Later that weekend we got the rest of the group together and went to good ole Pizza Factory.
The guys have all been good friends since high school, some even before that. Us as wives over the years have become really good friends.
It was great to get together and should do it more often!!

Holidays 2011

I am so over blogging. But since I don't really scrapbook anymore I need to blog so that my pictures and memories are all in one place. Since I am way behind lets start with Thanksgiving. We went up to the cabin. There has been hardly any snow this year so we couldn't go snowmobiling but the kids were still able to play in what little snow we did get. My dad built this swing that is a lot of fun, more for the adults. I think the kids are scared of it.

I have such good parents who are always willing to get down and play with the kids!

Hudson LOVES any kind of fruit. Notice the bag of cut up watermelon next to him yet he decided he would dig it out of the actual watermelon! Such a cute little stinker!!

Mom and Dad with all 4 grandchildren, and Kyle and Katelyn's dog, Sophie who has become part of the family!

We have recently been given some devastating news. Lane's Dad has been diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma as well as Thyroid cancer. The thyroid cancer is easily treating by removing his thyroid, which they did and he will be on medication the rest of his life. He his writing a journal through out this process and is very inspiring to us. The website is

So the holidays this year were a little different for us. It made us look at life differently and to appreciate what we have.

Family Pictures 2011

Its that time of year again. . .family pictures! I personally like to have family pictures taken, it will give me something to look back on each year and see how our family has grown. Lane, on the other hand HATES them. Don't ask me why, but ever year I get the same reaction when I tell him we're taking pictures. So we made these short and sweet, 20 minutes in and out!!! Hudson is at such a hard age to contain so we had to be fast. Once again, Laci took them and she does a fabulous job!!!

Nutcracker 2011

I would have to say that doing the Nutcracker is Brookie's favorite part of the year. She loves to dance on the stage and she does such a great job!! This is her 3rd year doing it!! She had to do 4 performances this year, 2 matinees and 2 night ones. I was a little worried with her having to do it that many times, but she did fantastic and said she wanted to do it "twenty hundred times!"

Hudson did so good, there were plenty of people for him to be passed back and forth to.

Love this girl!! I couldn't be more proud that she is taking after me and loving dance all ready!

I have been terrible about updating this so these are just a bunch of random pictures.

Hudson is obsessed with our kitty, Millie. Poor thing, he completely mauls her yet she doesn't run away.

Thanksgiving night we came home from the cabin and Brookie wrote her first letter to santa. Laci has a mailbox that her girls mail them out in so we went to her house and mailed it out with Mia and Eva's letters.

Her and Eva were playing dress-up, hence the clothes she is wearing. Hudson just ate rolls all night long!
When Santa came to get their letters he left them their Christmas pajamas. Brookie thought it was so cool.

HaLlOwEeN 2011

We had so much fun this year! I had to work during the day and Lane had clinicals so my Mom watched the kids and Hudson loved making rootbeer with her. When Lane and I were done we got the kids are dressed and ready and took pictures and then headed to the ward "trunk or treat."

My friend Laci made Brookie's skirt and shirt and Hudson's vest. They turned out sooo cute!!!

The ward did the trick or treating around the track so I guess technically it wasn't a "trunk or treat."

After the trunk of treat we went over to my Mom's where Lane took Brookie and Landon around to a few houses. I believe he was Optimus Prime from Transformers?

We had yummy taco soup, corn bread and homemade rootbeer. Then trying to get a picture of all the Twiggs' grandkids is a little bit of a nightmare, but this is a pretty good one.
Then over to the Pont house where we hurried at got a picture and ran out the door to do some more trick or treating!

There are some really cute houses all decorated in their neighboorhood. The bubbles were a big hit with the kids, especially Hudson. He has recently learned to say "bubble" and is quite obsessed with them. So he ran around saying, "bubble bubble bubble!!!"

I'm not quite sure what this guy is suppose to be, but we were the only ones brave enough to have our picture taken with him. Hudson isn't quite sure but he didn't have a choice since I was holding him!!

Halloween Activities

I have not had a camera, hence the reason there have been no posts! But we have a new one and are back in action! Recently I took the kids to Hee Haws, which was a lot of fun!

They had a lot of fun in the corn box!

It's so nice that Brookie is old enough to take her brother for these type of rides. I don't worry about him at all because she is such a good sister!

They have animals that you can pet and feed. Hudson wasn't really into feeding them, he was a little bit scared of them to be honest, which is funny because last time we went he was all over them.

Brookie on the other hand was all about feeding them!

We made cookies to frost, I have 2 "counter rats" as my parents would call us who have to be on the counter right next to me as I'm cooking.

We carved pumpkins and I learned I HATE it!!! It's very time consuming, the little ones can't even carve them because it's too hard, Brookie wouldn't get the "guts" out, it was too gross, she said.

So this is her sad looking pumpkin because I do not have the patience to do this. Next year we will stick to painting a face on.

2nd round of Preschool

I was really hesitant this year about preschool, just because I felt like she was sooo ready for Kindergarten. She misses the deadline by 1 day!! I didn't even think I could fight it with the school but then I started wondering if I had her tested if they would have let her go. Anyways. . .I didn't and she's doing another year or preschool. It's at a different place than last year, it's at an elementary school rather than someone's house, and she LOVES it. I didn't get a very good vibe from the teacher and other parents but she has so much fun. They go to the computer lab and play on Starfall.com (which she is very familiar with), she loves going to library and reading books, and there is the playground they have played on every single day and in the winter they will have gym time. I was really worried because she wasn't coming home with any papers or anything to show me that they have been doing but the teacher keeps a lot of stuff there are the school. But slowly she is starting to bring home papers.

It's crazy what a difference a year makes! I remember taking her last year and she was really nervous, luckily she had a friend in her class which helped a ton. This year she was a little nervous just because she didn't know anyone but she went to class just fine. Next year she will walk right into Kindergarten without even looking back! She is growing up so fast!

This year Brookie said she wanted a Cowgirl Party!! So she got cowgirl boots and a hat and we went and took pictures to put on the invitations. Which I don't have a copy of the invitation but it was SUPER cute!! Laci Arias took these pictures.

We. . .and by we I mean, mostly Laci did a lot of work. She should be some type of party/event planner. I swear we were up till 2 a.m. every night for about 2 weeks trying to get stuff done. The party was a HUGE success, the kids loved it! I'll let the pictures do most of the talking!

This was "Panning for Gold" I found this idea on Pinterest, you mix food coloring with the rice. It's like a sand box but less messy and much prettier looking. This was a BIG hit with the little guys.

No one broke it so I ended up opening it and scattering the candy everywhere!

We loaded the kids up in the back of the truck and drove around the corner for a BIG surprise!!! Which we didn't even need to go to the surprise, the kids thought driving in the back of the truck was sooo cool!!!

The BIG surprise is they got to ride a Horse!!! First up was the birthday girl of course!! She absolutely loved it!!

The grand finale of the night was the present that Papa made for her. I found a website online that gives you the plans to build things for free. I showed it to my Dad, he made some changes and Da-Ta! He made me paint it, which was a nightmare!! But Brookie loves it!!!

Here is the finished product, all set up in her room. I still have some work to do, I'm going to put carpet on the stairs and make some cute curtains but she LOVES it!!! Every night she is excited to go sleep in her bed!

18 Months

I am so far behind, a lot has changed around our house lately which hopefully I will get caught up on. But for the moment I'm going to focus on Hudson. He is now 18 months old and his the cutest, sweetest little boy!

Hudson is at a very fun age as well as a very hard age. It's fun because I love his personality, he is so funny! He loves to play with Sissy and explore. He loves to play outside, help Daddy mow the lawn and play in the water. It's also a very hard age because he is into everything and going to the store (grocery, craft, clothing store, restaraunt) doesn't matter where but he is impossible to take!! He won't stay in the cart to save my life, he'd rather get down and run around touching and pulling everything off the shelves!!

I recently have gone back to work part time and the kids are with Lane. So Hudson and Lane have a pretty tight bond now. It was sad at first because he wanted nothing to do with me but it's getting better now. And Brooklyn and Lane have always had a tight bond. It 's hard to be away from them but for the most part they are with Lane getting some Daddy time!

Our camera is broken so all these pictures are from Lane's phone when he has been watching the kids.

Lane is such a good Dad. He is far more patient than I am. He takes the kids to the park, mows the lawn, plays outside with them, and feeds them Taco Amgio!!

Strawberry Days 2011

We weren't able to hit all the events this year at Strawberry Days because we headed out of town to Texas. But in one day we did everything we could. . .first up was the baby contest.

Hudson won last year but he was still under the age requirement this year so I decided to put him in again. He was very shy with the judges but he smiled and totally flirted with them.

Laci entered her little boy, Kruz as well. How cute is he??!!

These 2 little boys are so cute together. They will be best buds growing up! I love that Laci and I have girls the same age and now boys that are very close in age too! It sure makes for some fun!!

After a yummy lunch at Pizza Factory we came back for the results. . .and BOTH Hudson and Kruz won!! I was so excited to have him win again!

Both of them with their trophy's. I was sad we weren't able to be here for the parade because both him and Brookie would have been in it.

After the baby contest we headed home for a nap, then walked in the children's parade (no pictures) so we could get 2 free rides to the carnival and a stamp for Brookie to get into the rodeo for free and a free glacier to Taco Amigo!! Totally worth it!
We then left Hudson with Aunt Coleen and went to the carnival to use our free rides (again no pictures.) After waiting in line for forever for those 2 rides we called it quits and headed back home where we met Daddy and went to the rodeo. And of course got Strawberries 'n' cream!!

It made for a very long day, cramming everything in 24 hours but I and love Strawberry Days!!!

Oh, earlier in the week Laci and I took the kids to the free family swim day. The kids loved it! I had to put all these pictures up because it's always a treat to get a good picture of 5 kids.

Preschool Graduation

Well before summer officially started Brooklyn had preschool graduation. It has been a fun year for her. She absolutely loved it and made some good friends who she told me she misses. She learned so much. She has another year of preschool to go since her birthday is September 2nd but she will be super smart for kindergarten.

She was such a stinker and was the only one who wouldn't wear her cap and gown. She had a little solo part but didn't say it, she got really shy all of a sudden. She did sing the songs though and it was so cute!

Summer has officially started!!!

To kick off summer we headed up to the zoo with the Arias family! We went at the perfect time, not too hot and not too crowded. By the time we left it was starting to heat up and there were a ton of people!!

First up was the train ride! Aren't those 3 girls the cutest!!!
Hudson loved it!

The had a Zoorassic event going on. So they had all these big dinosaurs that moved and some sprayed water. It was pretty cool.

The peacock was so cool! Both the kids and adults liked it. I've never seen one with it's feathers all spread out.

After the zoo we headed up to Snowbird where Lane's grandparents have a room. We had dinner and took the kids swimming which was a lot of fun.

Hudson has some fettish with dishwashers. He loves to get up in there and take everything out, I get very frustrated with it but Grandma Pont has a lot more patience than I do!

It made for a very fun day, a long day with maybe a 45 minute nap for little man, but still we had fun and look forward to summer!

15 Months

At 15 months, this little monster is. . .well just that, a MONSTER!! He keeps me on my toes. He is so much fun. I love seeing his personality come out. He is very hard to keep entertained, he is a wanderer. Loves to be exploring! He is a total boy and loves the dirt and getting dirty. He LOVES to be outside!

He is completely mesmerized with lawn mowers, weed wackers, blowers, whatever it is, he will watch you the whole time. It looks like his head is stuck in the fence but our neighbor was mowing the lawn and this is how he watched him!

At 15 months, Hudson isn't talking a whole lot. The only thing he consistently says is, "Mama." Which I'm totally fine with :)
He does know how to say:
Dada
Pa Pa (Grandpa)
Num Num (Yum, Yum)
OOHH (When he gets really excited about something)

In sign language he says:

He shakes his head and yes and no but won't say it.

15 months is a fun age but I feel like its also a hard age. He has learned to throw pretty good tantrums from his big sister which I don't like one bit. But he is happy majority of the time and we love him to pieces!

Dance Momma Dance

I started taking a dance class this year and have absolutely loved it. At the end of the year we had a little recital. We did 3 across the floors and 2 dances, a lyrical and a jazz. I was very VERY nervous the day of the recital. I have not danced for 8 years. So to get in front of people was a little intimitading. I couldn't sleep the night before and didn't eat at all that whole day. Once we started dancing though it was so fun! Brookie was my best cheerer!!! She'd yell, "Go Momma, go Momma!!!" I even had a solo, which was probably why I was so nervous but it turned out great and I'm excited for next year!

big big big BIG news

Lane has joined the Army. Now while you pick your jaw up off the floor, let me explain. We get the same reaction from everyone when we tell them. Shock, surprise, they think we're crazy!! He has just finished up his first semester of Nursing school at UVU, so he will be a nurse in the Army, not in the front lines fighting!

This has been ongoing for a couple of months now. It all came about by Lane's great uncle who told him to look into it. When I first heard that I thought, "yeah right! Are you kidding me!" But then we started looking into it and decided maybe this was the right thing to do. We first sat down with both of our parents to get their input and what they thought. They were both very supportive. I wasn't sold on it because those that know me, know that I am very much a home body. I have basically lived in one place my entire life and would never leave. So this is extremely out of my comfort zone. But after much thought, and prayer I finally realized this was what we needed to do. Lane, however was back and forth. One day he thought it was right, the next he didn't want to do it. Which I completely understood.

After many discussions Lane finally realized this is what he needed to do. So he met with Colonel Sturgeon only to find out that they aren't accepting that many people. They went from having 200 spots available to 69 spots. Lane had to pass a medical exam as well as a physical. He had to run 2 miles, do push ups and sit ups in a certain amount of time. He also had to be at a certain weight. After he had worked his butt off to do all of this we found out he was number 70 on the list! We were very discouraged and also found out that they aren't accepting any nurses because they have too many in the Army right now. Luckily, someone dropped out which meant Lane was next on the list. Our prayers were answered and he got in!! He is the only nurse in the country that got into the program, it's called Army ROTC.

So here is how it will work. In the summer he as to go to a 4 week program in Fort Knox, Kentucky. It will be kind of like a mini boot camp. It will be hard but no where near what they do at full on boot camp. Then while he is in nursing school he will have to take one Army related class a semester which is basically just a fitness class. Once he graduates, in 2013, we will move to San Antonio, Texas for 2 1/2 months where he will be trained how to be a nurse in the Army. After that we will be "stationed" somewhere for up to 4 years where he will be a nurse in a hospital. The Army also provides 2 of the top 5 CRNA programs (Nurse anesthesia school) in the country and if he does well they will put him in the program and pay for it. We will have a little bit of say as to where we want to live when it comes to that point. We are looking at a minimum of 7 years that he will be working for the Army. But if we really like it he'll probably work his 20 years and retire.

There are sooo many good things that will come out of this. But there are also some bad things. Let me start with the good first.

they will pay for school (must work for them for 4 years after graduation)
they will pay up to a certain amount of student loans off (must work another 3 years for them)
benefits
being able to take our family to new places that we would probably never be able to go
we see it as job security, once he graduates he will have a job
experiencing something new as a family

Now the bad. . .

When deployed the duration will be for 6 months at a time. This is what made it really hard for Lane to decide if he wanted to do it or not. But we received some good advice from my Dad, saying "You can't think of what will happen in the future." With nurses they try to make it so you are deployed only once every 3 years. I am really nervous for this but our families are very supportive of us.
Moving away from friends and family. This was probably the hardest thing for me. I am especially close with my parents and have always lived close to them. I have also made some very good friends here, but after talking to friends who have moved away from home found out this would be good for us to experience life on our own. It still scares the crap out of me and if I think about it for too long I get very emotional. It will be hard to take the kids away from their friends, grandparents and cousins but I try to think about the positive things and look at this whole thing as an adventure with my little family. Good thing I have 2 1/2 years to prepare for it.

I am so proud of Lane, though. He puts the needs for our family above anything else, and would do anything for me and his children. I'm excited for this new phase in our life together.

Mommy Muffin Day

To celebrate Mother's day, Brookie's preschool class had a Mommy Muffin day. We went in for the last 30 minutes of her class. She was so excited to see me! She gave me a little heart with a picture of her and I on it. They sang 2 adorable songs to us, that almost made me cry. Then we had muffins together. It was fun to go into her class and spend time with her. I am so lucky to be a Mom!!

Hee Haw Farms

Hee Haw Farms is this fun place I thought was only open in the fall. Come to find out they have a spring thing only in the month of April. So Emily, the kids and I went there and we had my Mom tag along. It actually was a lot of fun. They have a big slide, hay bales to climb on, a petting farm, train ride and a wagon ride. Not as many things as there are in the fall but still the kids had a good time!

The petting farm is a big gated area that the animals are just roaming and you can go in and pet them. Hudson was completely fearless and walked right up to the animals. I was worried they would trample him but he could have cared less. Brookie was a little hesitant at first but warmed right up to them.

Brookie picked this hairstyle off a website. We were a little rushed to be to 9:00 church on time since she didn't get up till 8:15. So don't look too close at it.

It's hit and miss with the weather, it will be really nice one day and the next it's snowing. So while it's warm outside we definitely take advantage of it. I had a fun get together with my "HOGS" from Nauvoo. It was so great to see them!

I just LOVE these girls!! Some of them I haven't seen in awhile but these are the type of friends that doesn't matter how long it has been we pick up right where we left off. But I would like to see them more often.

We have been walking to the park a lot and just being outside enjoying the weather. Hudson absolutely loves to be outside.

We can not wait for summer!!

A WALKING TERROR

Hudson is a complete terror!! He has now been walking officially for a couple weeks now and it is impossible to contain him!!! He just wants to be exploring and running around where ever it is that we are. Which makes things super hard for me. He is into everything. I don't remember Brooklyn being like this but maybe I just blocked it out so I didn't remember. He still is the sweetest thing, though. I love that his little personality is coming out and he is so funny. He makes all these faces that are to die for, but I haven't caught any of them on camera.

MOMMA'S BOY

Hudson has had this rash underneath his belly button for the past month. I didn't think much of it, but when it started to get worse and spreading above his belly button I called the doctor and explained what it looked like. She said it was a yeast infection. I didn't know boys could get that. They called in a cream for me and I started putting it on him but it kept getting worse. A friend told me it didn't look like a yeast infection so I took him to insta care and come to find out he not only has a yeast infection but a staph infection as well. I was kind of freaking out because I've heard staph infections can get pretty bad and spread very quickly. I think we caught it early enough and started him on another cream that we stopped it from spreading too far. This picture was taken when it was actually getting better. So it was worse than this.

Hudson is walking!! He is still very unsteady and he walks with his arms either above his head or out to the side. Every day he gets more brave and will walk farther. This kid has so much energy and is always on the move! Thank heavens he takes good naps and lets me rest. He still crawls more than he walks only because he can speed crawl and get wherever it is he's going so much faster!!

Hudson 1st birthday party was a little bit stressful for me. His party was the same day that Brookie had her dental work done and as you read my day didn't go quite as planned. Luckily my sister, Erin was there to help! I did a barnyard animal theme. I ordered all these cute decorations on line and made his cake, which was a lot of work!

Ok don't look too closely at the cake. It was my first time ever making a cake like this. It was a lot of work but I'm proud with how it turned out!

Hudson wasn't really into ripping the wrapping paper off. So Brookie helped out with that. He'd rather play with the paper and get in the box.

This was probably his favorite toy. It bounces and makes music and he thought it was pretty cool, as you can tell by his cute chubby face!

We stripped him down to his diaper and brought out the cake.

His cake was supposed to be a hay bale but it was pathetic so I didn't even take a picture of it.

12 Months

My sweet baby boy is now 1!! I can not believe it. At 12 months he stats are:

Weight: 22 lbs (40%)
Height: 29.5 in (42%)
Head: 18 in (31%)

To me that seems a little odd that he his supposedly below average for all of his stats because everyone tells me what a BIG boy he is. But all that matters to me is that he's healthy and developing on track.

At 12 months he is a very happy and easy baby.

He loves to clap his hands and dance to music

He still is a VERY good eater and doesn't refuse much food.

He popped thru his 3rd tooth on his birthday and is working on a 4th. He has 2 bottom and 1 top. Yep folks, only 3 teeth!!!

He's a very good sleeper. He's been on a strict schedule since about 5 or 6 months old. I like my babies to have a consistent routine. I think it's makes them happier as well as myself. He takes 2 naps. One in the morning for an hour and half and one in the afternoon for an hour and a half to two hours. And he sleeps a solid 12 hours at night.

I thought he didn't have any stranger anxiety but when I took him to get his 1 year pictures we learned he does. He did not like the photography and it took everything from him, myself and Brookie to get him to smile. I was worried they wouldn't turn out but I was very pleased with them.

Hudson is such a stud!!

Surgery, Surgery & more Surgery

The surgeries all started with me about a week ago. I had a wisdom tooth that apparently had been missed, pulled along with one of my back teeth that has had 2 root canals and still bothering me. My recovery was rough but Lane and family were there to help me.

Next was Hudson. He has had a plugged tear duct ever since he was born. Most babies grow out of it by the time they are 1. Hudson's however got worse. His eye was always goopy and tears were constantly coming out of it. The surgery was on his birthday. Not really how we wanted to celebrate his 1st year of life, but it needed to be fixed.

The surgery lasted literally 60 seconds. They put him under anesthesia and went in with a paper clip sized instrument and popped the tear duct. It will take 2 weeks to see if it worked. If not he'll have to have a tube put in the duct to help drain it.

I was a little nervous for him to come out of the anesthesia because when Brookie had tubes put in her ears she had a hard time coming out of it. Lane told me he thought Hudson wouldn't cry at all and I was like, you are up in the night! Well anyways, they brought him out to us and he looked so cute, he gave us a half smile and when they handed him to Lane, he perked right up and was ready to go. He started to whine a little bit, but other than that was perfect!!

We came home and he took a 3 hour nap! Must have been pretty exhausted.
We did go out to dinner as a family with the birthday boy and then had Daddy time while Momma went out!

The day after Hudson birthday is when we decided to celebrate with family. Of course that is when Brooklyn's surgery was scheduled. She was having cavities filled. I'm embarrassed to tell how many because about 6 months ago they fixed 10 cavities. Well this time she had 5. I promise I brush AND floss her teeth. A few months back she was playing with her Dad, I'm not sure exactly what happened but she ran into the wall. She left her mark there on the wall and it made one of her front teeth loose. We called the dentist and they told us to watch for discoloring which would mean it was infected. Months go by and she never complained it hurt her and the color looked fine. I took her into the dentist for her yearly checkup and the first thing he says is that front tooth is abscessed and needs to be pulled! FUN!

So the morning or her surgery, of course she can't eat anything past midnight the night before, the surgery isn't scheduled till 10:30 a.m. For Brookie that is a long time to not eat, she is constantly eating! The dentist was an hour behind schedule, poor thing was starving!!
It was a treat trying to keep her entertained for 2+ hours. Good thing Daddy was there to help!
I was bored so I can't imagine how she felt!

The dentist came back and said it went well but that he did find one more cavity. . . which makes 6!!!
She had a really hard time coming out of the anesthesia. She was very anxious, wanted to IV out of her arm and to go home. She was vomiting and really just struggling. Once we got home and she rested she was fine and back to her old self.

Now she has a cute toothless grin! I was going to get a fake tooth for her since it will be a while before her permanet tooth comes in but decided I was doing it more for me. She won't care if she has a hole there! It will take a minute to get used to seeing a hole in her mouth!

11 Months

Time is flying by! I can't believe Hudson is 11 months old now! Well not much has happened since he was 10 months other than he gets cuter and cuter!

Bath time is his favorite!

He follows Brookie around everywhere and whatever she's doing he has to be tagging along as well.

He still eats pretty much everything. I'd have to say his favorites are french toast and pizza.

He has this fake laugh he does that he thinks is pretty hilarious! Ok I think it's funny too :)

He is getting harder and harder to contain at church, he just wants to crawl everywhere!

My once blue eyed baby is now a green eyed handsome little boy.

We buzzed his hair because it grows so fast and I was tired of cutting it so often. I think it makes him look more like his daddy and more a like a little boy rather than a baby!

He is not walking yet but really close. His balance is really good and he'll stand there but he's a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to walking.

Christmas 2010

Santa came early to our house this year. He came on Christmas Eve Eve. . .He came the night before Christmas Eve since we would be up to the cabin on Christmas. This way were able to do our own Christmas as a family. Brooklyn had a lot of fun this year. She made cookies and set them out with milk and thought it was the coolest thing that Santa ate her cookies and wrote her a letter that she made me read to her 10 million times!

Hudson's first Christmas and he just wanted to get down and crawl and see what Brookie got.

Of all the presents Hudson got, his favorite was this squishy ball thing that cost $1. Of course the cheapest one is his favorite.
Brookie's big present this year was a big doll/barbie house that I can't believe I don't have a picture of, and the set of princess barbies.

The rest of Christmas Eve we just hung out and ventured out to the mall. Lane wanted to get me some work out clothes but didn't know if I would like that. I did like that but told him I would prefer just regular clothes. . .but no he insisted if I was going to be working out on a regular basis that I had to workout in style! So we went to Sports Authority and got some nice Nike pants and a couple of shirts. He also got me a new crock pot which I love!!

I got him a pair of new basketball shoes and he went to Florida for the whole week after Christmas with the basketball team, so that was also his Christmas present.

Then we headed up to Grandma Twiggs and Pam's house, where the whole family was there except Kyle and Katelyn and had dinner and opened presents. This was the first Christmas without Grandpa so I think it was a little hard on the whole family, but we still had a good time. Next we headed up to the cabin. By the time we got there is was so late we all just went to bed.

Brookie slept in until about 7 in the morning which up at the cabin is late! Seriously the girl wakes up at 5 a.m. up there. Who knows why.
Coleen, who is my mom's sister is living with them so she came up to the cabin with us. It was so great having her there. She is seriously a 2nd grandmother to my children and like a 2nd mom to me. She is one of Brooklyn's favorite people in the world, right up there with Grandma and Pa Pa.

Every time you asked Brookie what she wanted for Christmas she told us a Scooter. Well this is her face when she saw she got one!

Hudson was asleep the whole time we opened presents since he was up late the night before. Besides Brooklyn opened all of his presents anyways, along with the rest of ours :)

But he was there when they played with all the presents.
He sat in the middle and just watched the cars go around. At one point he was on his hands and knees going around in a circle like an animal chases their tail!

After Hudson woke up from his morning nap we headed down to Lane's parents house.

I had Lane's sister Lauren for Christmas. One night at dinner she asked where I bought my bras from. I told her the only place I buy them is Victoria's Secret. So I took her shopping for one and she was so embarrassed! She has 3 brothers and isn't your typical girlie girl like me and my 3 sisters are. So this was a new experience for her. She was bright red when she was getting measured and just completely embarrassed the whole time. Long story short she found a bra she really liked so she got 2 of them. She took one home and I kept the other one for Christmas. Well I thought it would be funny to buy some sexy underwear because I knew she would be mortified to open them in front of her family. Of course she pulled them out and was bright red! I made her hold them up for a picture and told her she better wear them!

We had a great Christmas. It was a long couple days going from place to place but we enjoyed the time Daddy had off from work.

10 Months

At 10 months, our little stud man is quite a handful. He is walking around furniture (holding on of course) and getting braver and standing by himself. He sure has got the crawling down. If he wants something he crawls like super speed to get there!

He has got Ma Ma down awesome!!! He says Pa Pa and we're still working on Da Da, which irritates Lane :)
He also says bah bah, which I'm pretty sure means bottle.

He waves hi and bye bye, loves cars and balls! He is fascinated with tires. He has all these cars and just flips them over to play with the tires. Today in church there was a wheelchair and he just kept crawling over there to look at and play with the wheels.

He is definitely all BOY!!! Which makes his Daddy proud!

He has so much hair that I don't even know what to do with it all. It grows so fast!

He had his first Christmas which was a lot of fun and will be coming up in the next post!!

Temple Square

I'm pretty sure we pick the worst night to go to Temple Square. It wasn't snowing but it was FREEZING cold. We tried to make the best of it but with 2 very cold and tired little ones it wasn't great. We rode TRAX which was a first for Brookie and she thought it was pretty cool. I forgot how long it takes to get to Temple Square because of all the stops but it was a new experience.

First Haircut

At 9 months old, Hudson had his first "real" haircut. His hair grows so fast that he has had a few snips here and there. But this haircut was an all over cut.

Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees has become a family tradition for us. Each year Lane's mom buys the girls matching Christmas dresses and all the grand kids get their picture taken with Santa. None of them are too found of him. All we ask for are no tears. I have to bribe Brooklyn with everything to get her to stand there. It's totally worth it though!

They have a whole section of games and crafts for little kids. It's a big hit with her.

9 Months

I can't believe Hudson is 9 months old! At about 8 1/2 months he started crawling all over the place. There are a lot more tears at our house now because he thinks he can go places he can't and gets stuck and cries or he hits his head on everything. But other than that he is the happiest baby still.
He weighs 21 lbs (52%)

And his head is 17 inches (38%)
At 9 months he doesn't really like baby food anymore, he prefers the good stuff. He eats pretty much anything you give him!

He loves the bath! Since this picture was taken he has graduated out of this little tub and now just sits in the big tub. He lays on his belly and just kicks his arms and legs and splashes while laughing the whole time.
When Brookie is taking a bath, he loves to stand on the side and dip his little chubby fingers into the water.

Just within the past couple days he has started to pull himself up on everything. And just today he stood all by himself for a couple of seconds. His face was priceless. He lifted his arms in the air and grinned and me like, "Look mom, no hands!"

He is just crawling all over the place!! He first always goes for the bathroom where the cat food is.

He loves to play peek a boo. He'll pull a shirt or a blanket over his head and wait for you to say, where's Hudson. Then he'll lower the blanket and you say peek a boo and he just laughs. He has got the word Ma Ma down pretty good. Says it all the time, which of course I love!!!

Something to Remember

Brooklyn said something today that I want to remember. . .

We've been doing the nutcracker for the past two days and running around like crazy. Tonight was no exception. I was at my mom's house dropping Hudson off to be watched to take Brookie to dance. She didn't want to come in, which is surprising, she always wants to go to Grandma's house to see either Grandma, Pa Pa or Coleen. Anyways I take Hudson inside and I'm only there for a couple minutes. I come back out to the car and she is screaming. I finally got her to calm down and tell me what was wrong. She said, "You were taking for so long." Which says all the time. But what was hilarious is then she proceeded to tell me, "you were taking your dear sweet time!"

I say that to her all the time when she taking forever to do something!

Disney on Ice

A couple weeks ago, we had a girls night and took Brookie and her cousin Kaylie to Disney on Ice. We didn't tell them where we were going so when we got there they were both so excited!! First we had dinner at Cheesecake Factory, which has become my new favorite restaurant.Kaylie and Brookie singing with Grandma waiting to be seated.My sweet girl, so excited to watch the show!

8 Months

Little man is 8 months old, and it's been quite the exciting month. He said his first words. . . Pa Pa!! Which in our house in Grandpa, let's just say I was pretty peeved!! I have been working with him on one word, Ma Ma. . .nothing else. So I called my dad up and said have you brain washed my child? He was pretty proud even though he doesn't associate Pa Pa with him just yet. But I didn't tell my dad that because he was pretty proud! He eventually did say Ma Ma, but I was quite sad those weren't his first words.

He got his first tooth, and then one week later got another. Let's just say that week was pretty rough! He has had 2 ear infections. Add that on top of teething, NO FUN!!

He has started army crawling and rolling all over the place. He's not content to just sit still anymore, he's gotta be moving! He gets up on all 4 and just rocks back and forth. Just within the last few days he has crawled, but only like 2 times and then he falls on his stomach.

He weighs roughly 20 pounds, I only know that because we've been to the doctor for his ear infections. But I'm pretty sure once he's full on crawling he'll maintain that weight.

He loves any and all food. Anything I give him, he doesn't reject!

Halloween

This was our first year carving pumpkins as a family and I hate to say it but it will probably be our last. Brookie wasn't really into it, as you can tell. She would have rather painted it, which she ended up doing anyways.

We started our festivities by going to the hair school where they have a bunch of activities set up for the kids. It was a big hit last year and was once again this year.

And last but not least my ward had a trunk or treat but since it was pouring rain it was inside. We were squished into a tiny room with a whole bunch of people. So it was hot and crowded but Brookie didn't care. She got candy and was happy!

Cornbellys

This was our first year going to Cornbellys and I think it's safe to say we'll be going back next year. Brookie would've stayed all night if we let her, but it was getting cold and we were hungry. I didn't realize how many pictures I took. We had a really fun family night. We went to Bajio's for dinner and then Purple Turtle for ice cream!!!

1st Field Trip

Brooklyn had her very first field trip of the year with her preschool. I don't even know the name of the place they went too but she had a lot of fun. It had a corn maze which we didn't do so hot in, a place with little farm animals, a playground area that was a big hit for all the kids, a spook alley (wasn't really spooky, it was just dark and had big blow up things), and they were able to pick out pumpkins. It was fun for me to see the kids she plays with and talks about all the time.

She is love, love, LOVING preschool! She is learning so much and loves to come home and do homework! She has a major crush on one of the boys in her class. He is a major ladies man! We carpool with Eva, so it's funny to hear what they say on the way to school. They are always excited to see this boy. Lately Brookie only wants to wear her hair down, she freaks out if I put it up. Somedays we're running late so I have no choice but to pull it up into a pony tail. She is always curious to see if Eva's hair will be down like hers, and when it is they both get excited that their hair is down. Silly girls!! One day I was driving in the car with Brooklyn and she told me she wanted to kiss Ridge(boy in her class) like Cinderlla kisses the Prince. I said, no no no NO! We don't kiss boys until you're older and married like mommy and daddy. She thought about it for a minute and then said, oh. . .ok!

6 and 7 Months

Hudson is actually 7 months old but for journaling purposes I want to document what happened at 6 months.

I can finally say he is sleeping thru the night. That was the longest 6 months of my life. It is so nice to get a full nights rest of sleep!! He is still such a good baby, always smiling and happy!

This swing was given to Brooklyn on her 1st birthday from our friends Matt and Cassie. It's from Mexico and Brooklyn loved it was she was a baby and still does and now Hudson loves it.

He would sit her and swing all day if I let him. He just sits there while I push him, then run around with Brookie, then I come back to push him some more. Just content!

He just wants to move but absolutely hates his stomach. He likes to sit up and play with his toys, but is anxious to be able to follow his big sister around.

Here is the stud man at 7 months old with Daddy's hat on. At 7 months, Hudson is 19 + pounds. I took him to the doctor to find out he had his first ear infection AND sinus infection. The only reason I took him in was because he kept pulling at his ear. He seriously never cries so if it hadn't been for the ear pulling and constant runny nose I never would have known anything was wrong.

Brooklyn's 4th Birthday

Brookie had her first friend birthday party and I'd have to say it was a success. All the girls came dressed as their favorite princess and we went to the hair school my sister-in-law is going to and each girl got their hair, nails and makeup done. They all loved it!!

The food was just okay but they had a bunch of arcade games, miniature bowling and miniture golf which were both a big hit. Looks like I only got pictures of the bowling but that was probably her favorite.

I can't believe she is 4. She is such a big helper to me and has so much personality to her. We just love her! She even allowed Hudson to slobber on her!

Her first day of Preschool

Brooklyn has been dying to go to preschool. We live across the street from a school and during the school year she sits at the window and stares at them and always asks if she can go to school. I told her when she was 4 she could go. Her birthday is September 2nd so she misses the deadline by 1 day! So she will go to 2 years of preschool and then go to kindergarten when she is 6. I thought we would have no problem with her going to school since she always asked if she could go. Well. . .when we went to go meet her teacher she kind of freaked out and wouldn't leave my side. So on the way home I asked her if she wanted to go to school. She told me no, so I said we were going to take her backpack back and all the clothes back that we had bought her. She said ok mom, I won't freak out.

So here she is on her first day of preschool. She was so excited!!!

These were taken on our way to school. We turned on her favorite song, Teenage Dream by Katy Perry and jammed out the whole way there.

She was a little hesitant when we first go there. Kind of stuck to my leg for a minute but then walked right in and didn't even look back.
I went back 2 hours and 15 minutes later and she ran out to me and the first thing she said to me was, "Mom!! I didn't freak out!"

Everyday I pick her up she tells me she LOVES school! It makes me so happy that she loves it so much! I drove away the first day and it kind of hit me that I have a child old enough to go to preschool! It's pretty crazy!

Bear Lake Part 2

Sunday morning we got up and had a delicious breakfast then went to the Minnetonka Caves. It was a little drive up a beautiful canyon. We weren't sure what to except of the caves but I had been told they were cool.

It was a guided tour with a maximum of 30 people. Our tour guide was a complete idiot but other than her we really enjoyed it.

We had Hudson all bundled up ready to go. The caves are 40 degrees year round. Lane was a trooper and packed Hudson the whole way. I thought we would be able to take the stroller but come to find out you go up and down 444 steps. . .one way!!! We're guessing he's probably 17-18 pounds. Some of those stairs were pretty steep.

Brooklyn stayed with either Grandma or Grandpa the whole time because we started walking down the first set of stairs and I almost fell down them. So she said, "mom you're not very good." And didn't want to hold my hand the rest of the time. I don't blame her though.

These caves were really interesting. There are formations all over from something that drips from the ceiling of the cave. How's that for informational! I was paying attention but let's be honest, my attention span is that of a 3 year old!

After the caves we went down to the lake. We were on the North Shore and it wasn't too crowded. We packed a lunch and ate in on the beach then played in the water.

Hudson was supposed to be sleeping but apparently talking to Grandma is much more fun!

We went back to the house and Brookie played darts with Daddy while we prepared a delicious Sunday dinner.
She's got great form!

Sunday night Lane's parents left. We packed up Monday morning to head to Logan to go out on a date while Lauren and her friends watched the kids.
Before we left to Logan we grabbed some lunch. This was Hudson's first time sitting in a high chair and his first time trying a french fry!

When we got to Logan I had a text message from my Mom that said to call Dad when I had a minute. So I called him and he said Grandpa was in the hospital and wasn't doing very good. But that they didn't know what was wrong with him and it could be hours before they knew. So we decided to go golfing and then head back home. That sounds terrible that we went golfing but by the time we did get home, my Dad had just barely been able to go see him. They had been running all sorts of tests.
She loves to go golfing. Lane bought her her own club "just her size," as she would say!

I stayed in the cart with the munchkins sweating to death. When we got back to the truck it said it was 90 degrees!

We had such a fun family vacation even though it was cut short it was very much needed!

Bear Lake Part 1

The weekend after Kyle's wedding we took our first and sad to say last vacation of the summer. Such is life though when your husband is in school and works crazy hours. All of Lane's siblings were suppose to come but everyone bailed out on us which was fine so it was just us with the kids and his parents. His parents drove with me Friday afternoon since Lane was finishing finals. We stopped in Logan to see Lauren, Lane's sister. She was working at the fair so we let Brookie ride on some rides while we waited for her to be done working.
She looks like she isn't having fun but I promise she did!

Brookie wanted to ride the horse but had a freak out moment (she has those quite frequently) so I had to walk beside her. Afterwards she thought it was so cool!

Then we went to dinner at this amazing place in Logan, I believe it's called Firehouse Pizza and they have an amazing chicken cordon bleu pizza that is to die for. Then we went to this cool place called The Book Table. They have all sorts of books, toys, puzzles and scrapbook supplies.

Then we continued on to Bear Lake. We rented a house in Paris, Idaho that was very spacious because we thought more people were coming but it turned out nice. We had the whole upstairs and Lane's parents had the whole downstairs.

Saturday morning we woke up and heading into town. We ate in this wagon which Brookie thought was pretty cool.

Then we took her to this jump house that was outside. Ran her around good so she fell asleep on the way back to the house.

Grandma and Little Man just hung out.

Lane got in about 3:00 in the afternoon, he had his last final. We headed back into town to the Pickleville Playhouse and saw and play called Crazy for You.

Brooklyn absolutely love it, and Hudson was a gem. The playhouse does the play and you can get dinner included. So we headed out back and had a pretty darn good dinner as well. We went back to the house put the kids to bed and stayed up late playing cards and talking with his parents!

Kyle's Wedding

My brother Kyle got married on August 10th. He is the last sibling to get married so my parents are officially empty nesters. He was married in the Oquirrh Temple which I had never been there before. It was a great day!

Our family of 4. It was extremely windy when we came out. Brooklyn was being a stinker and wouldn't smile for any of the pictures.

Don't mind Hudson's tummy and his flood pants. I borrowed this outfit from a friend and didn't ever put it on him until then. But I guess give him a break the pants are 0-3 month which he hasn't been in that size for awhile. But by the time I realized what size they were it was too late. But nonetheless I think this is a cute picture with Brookie's smile and his tummy hangin out!

Sometimes these 2 get along so great. This was one of those times!

This is Jeff, a very good family friend, and Brookie has sure taken a liking to him. He was trying to get her to cheer up to smile for pictures.

Brookie wouldn't go give Kyle a hug once they came out of the temple so he was coming to get her.

This is my mom's sister Coleen. She has lived in Ohio for about the past year and half and she came back for Kyle's wedding and actually is living with my parents now. We absolutely love having her here. She is the sweetest lady ever!!

Speaking of studs, look at this little man. I hated the pink bow tie, but the bride was the one who piced it out. He still adorable though!

5 Months

Hudson boy is now 5 months old and is just a TANK!!!! He has been on solid foods for about a month in hopes he would sleep thru the night but to no avail. He eats anything! He hates to be laying down, always has to be sitting or standing. He likes in saucer toy thingy.

He is a drool monster. I never knew babies could slobber this much because Brooklyn didn't. But notice the slobber coming out of his mouth.
While I was pregnant and we were trying to decide on a name Lane wanted something related with basketball. So my Dad was giving us stupid suggestions like: free throw, basket, hoop. . .seriously stupid ones! But one that kind of stuck was Dribble, which totally fits him know because he is constantly drooling!!
He loves his big sister! And is such a happy boy!

He sleeps on his side or rolls to his stomach which is causing us grief at night. He can roll over to his stomach but then can't get back. So he is totally capable of sleeping thru the night but doesn't because he rolls to his stomach and wakes up and then cries. I let him cry but seriously he keeps on crying so I keep on going in to put him back on his back. This process sometimes goes on for a couple hours each night. It's very exhausting!
He has finally found his feet so his feet and fingers are constantly in his mouth.

These 2 kids are so much fun! Brooklyn loves Hudson so much and is getting excited now that he can sit up all by himself and dying for the day when they can play together!!

The Dentist

Back in June we took Brookie to the dentist for the very first time. She did so good. She let the hygienist clean her teeth and the dentist look at her teeth. She kind of freaked our for a minute but I got her to calm back down until he finished.

The results weren't so great. The dentist said she had 5 cavities. . .possibly more once they took x-rays. So he referred me to a pediatric dentist. A couple weeks later we went to him and it was disastrous!! She wouldn't cooperate and sit in the chair so I had to take her back to this room where he closed the door. I laid her in my lap and put her head in his knees and held her arms and legs down while she screamed the entire time and frantically tried to get up. After probably 10 minutes of screaming, sweat, tears, and snot we were finally done. He then proceeded to tell me she had 8 cavities and possibly more with x-rays.

What!!!??? Are you kidding me? I swear I brush her teeth. Well come to find out the problem is juice. She drinks alot of juice which is straight sugar which I was unaware.

So in the middle of July we went to the hospital where they totally put her out to fill the cavities. She ended up having 10 total!! That is half of her mouth.

She was a little loopy all morning and super drowsy but by the afternoon she was fine. Now whenever she fights me to brush her teeth all I have to threaten her with is the dentist. To say the least I have cut down on the juice incredibly. She doesn't like milk so all she drinks is water.

Summer Fun

Riding her bikes. She switches back and forth between the two. The one is too small for her but she still likes to ride it. I can't believe how good she is getting on her big bike. She flies on it down the sidewalk!!! I would have to run to keep up with her!!

We went to another carnival. Same rides just a different city. Brooklyn is in love with Carnivals! This time we went with Jayden and Kaylie. Just another hot summer day!

She had the whole ride to herself. I'm not quite sure what she thought of that.

Fireworks on the 4th of July. When Brookie was a baby she would just scream at the fireworks. Now obviously she's fine but I was curious to think what Hudson would do. Sometimes he got a little nervous but never cried about the noise.

We went up to this Splash Pad in HIghland. It was a lot of fun but really hot for me. It's a new park so the trees are little which means no shade for me and Hudson.

She was waiting for Hudson to wake up so we could go swimming so she decided to grab her bag of stuff hanging off the front and a stick and took off on her bike. What the???!!! She is hilarious!!!

She loves to ride her bike and get on top of daddy's car and dance. She is full of energy!!

She is also the best big sister I know!!! She is so good with Hudson.

4 Months Old!!!

I can't believe Hudson is 4 months old! Time is just flying by. His 4 months stats are:

Weight: 16.25 lbs 72%
Height: 25.25 in 58 %
Head: 16.75 in 54%

The doctor said he has CBS. Which stands for chubby baby syndrome!!! To say the least!! Holy heavens, I was expecting him to be like 14 pounds!! We know he is thriving though.

I've introduced him to rice cereal. . .

and I think this last picture sums it all up!

"Mom are you kidding me! I'm supposed to like this stuff?"

He's not really a big fan of it, to say the least. He takes it just fine in his bottle though.

He still is not sleeping through the night. He gets up 2-3 times a night. The doctor says to keep getting up and feed him until he's 6 months old. . .so we still have a couple more months of sleepless nights for me.

But he is one of the happiest babies I know. Always has a smile on his face! Just love this little boy to death!
And so does his big sister!

Strawberry Days

We absolutely love Strawberry Days!! First up. . .the baby contest! I entered Hudson in and put him in the 4-6 month age group. He wasn't quite 4 months yet but close enough. He was 1 week away! I also entered him in the special category one. He won the 4-6 month age group for boys. I thought he was the cutest thing there of course.
The blue shirt really brought out his blue eyes, which I just love!!

Then there was the carnival! Me and Brookie met up with Laci and Ashlee and the girls to ride the rides!! I took 2 pictures and then my camera died! Lovely! The rest of the pictures are on Laci's camera. So here is Brookie and Eva, they had so much fun!!! I tried funnel cake for the first time and loved it! It was totally worth the $5 I had to pay for it!

Then there was the rodeo! Me, Erin and Brookie went and had a blast! We got some delicious strawberries 'n cream, I could eat that all the time!!!

I thought this was pretty cool. Those are buffalo on top of the trailer. Brookie loves the rodeo, she has been wanting to go since we went to it last year and asked me almost everyday!

Me and Brookie went back to the carnival one night while Lane was working since we had nothing better to do and lets be honest. . .I wanted more strawberries 'n cream! I let her ride more rides so she was in heaven. And lastly on Saturday was the parade. Brookie was in it with her dance studio. She sat on a trailer and rode the whole time. I didn't take any pictures of her but I'm pretty sure she had a good time! I didn't see her at all because I was in the parade as well with Hudson with all the baby contest winners. My good friend from high school, Kalli walked with me. Her baby boy, Oliver won the 0-9 month Strawberry Days baby boy. We put both boys in my double stroller and Kalli decked it out all cute and we walked in the 90 degree weather together! It was great!!

It was quite the busy week but it's one of our favorite weeks of the entire year!!!
