Halloween!!

My sister-in-law is going to Hair School and her school was having a little thing at their school for Halloween. So I took Brookie and her 2 kids over there. They had all sorts of little games to do. We put one little hair extension in the girls hair, which Brookie still has it, she loves it. They got their faces painted.

Later on in the day I took my sweet Cinderella to the downtown park where businesses were handing out candy. It was pretty lame but she was just excited to be getting candy.

Here she is completely ready, gloves and all. I'm not quite sure what the head tilt is in all the pictures. She was doing it in every picture we took.

After the park, we went to my parents house. My mom has a tradition of making taco soup, corn bread and homemade root beer every year on Halloween. So we filled our tummies before I took her to our ward's and another wards trunk or trick. Whoever thought of those, is brilliant!!! She got more than enough candy and we were done within 30 minutes. Brooklyn was completely content with what she got. She kept saying, "Mom that was so much fun!"

Vegas!!!!

Lane and I decided we needed a little getaway before this baby comes and life gets even more hectic. So he requested the time off from work and we were off. We left Brookie with my sister, Erin who has been dying to have Brooklyn overnight. We left Friday morning and drove to St. George where we stopped and had lunch at Brick Oven and then hit up just a few of the outlet stores.

When we made it to Vegas we had a hard time finding our hotel but eventually found it. We headed over to Caesar's Palace to do some shopping but all those stores are insanely expensive but it was cool to see stores like Luis Vutton, Gucci, and Dolce Cabban (spelling??? I don't even know if that's the name!!!) We went into the Nike store where Lane bought a beanie for $25 that I thought was way overpriced but what the heck we're on vacation!! We were getting ready to leave and ran into 2 friends we went to high school with and their girlfriend/wife. What are the chances of that!!! So the 6 of us went to Cheesecake Factory which was delicious!!!

We watched the water show at the Bellagio which I thought was cool. This was my first time in Vegas and the whole atmosphere reminded me of New York. . .the bright lights, the smoking and garbage, all the tourists, all the walking!
Saturday we slept in, which we never get to do, went shopping at the Vegas outlets where we hit the jack pot for baby boy clothes!!! We got so many and some adorable outfits for Brookie too of course! We went to a comedian show that afternoon that was pretty good. It was called Defending the Caveman and it was on the differences between men and women. Everything he said was right on! How men and women talk different, think different, interact different, process things different. It was funny! Then we went to ESPN Zone for dinner, Lane's favorite! That night we went to a show called Le Reve. It's a cir de soleil show but it's all in water. It was absolutely amazing. Worth every penny we paid for them! These pictures were taken at the end of the show so it doesn't really do it justice.



We didn't take very many pictures but it was a great weekend away with the hubby who I don't see very often. We missed Brookie like crazy and were always talking about her but we needed this.


We drove home Sunday and put Brookie's new room all together. Pictures to come of that soon!!

Pregnancy Update

I am 17 weeks along and have finally stopped throwing up. That was 6 weeks of HELL!!! Once I got into the second trimester I definately got my energy back which was helpful with a toddler running around. I feel like I'm eating like a mad woman, non-stop!!!

BOY!!!!!!!



Here is his cute little foot, with all 5 toes!


And his face. He looks a little scary in this picture but it was absoultely amazing!! We saw him open and close his mouth, he was swallowing. Then he yawned and fell alseep. The doctor couldn't get him to move to get a profile shot.

I'm not going to lie, after he told us it was boy Lane was smiling from ear to ear. I however was on the verge of tears. I was really hoping for a girl, I wanted Brookie to have a sister. But Brooklyn knew from day 1 that this baby was a boy. I kind of figured it was a boy too just with how sick I've been but in the back of my mind I kept telling myself it might be a girl. Now that I've let it sink in for a couple of days, I'm very excited!! Brookie will be an awesome big sister either way. I'm not looking forward to shopping though. It is so hard to find cute boy clothes. The whole time I'm in the boy section I'm looking over at the girl section at how many cute things there are for Brookie and a brand new baby.

I haven't felt the baby move that much and I don't know if it's still a little early but after we had the ultrasound done and I was home in bed I felt him kick. It brought me to tears and made me realize that I already love this baby boy even if I wanted a girl.

Labor Day

For Labor Day this year me and Brookie went with my parents up to Strawberry. I normally don't really look forward to camping because Brookie won't take naps and doesn't go to bed till super late and then gets up early in the morning. Which I guess normally isn't such a big deal but being pregnant I am extremely fatigued and tired. But we actually had a lot of fun! We went fishing, which both Brookie and I lost interest very fast and were bored.

Brookie loves to go on 4-wheeler rides with Papa and look for animals. This is how we actually get her to fall asleep for a nap, take her for a ride. She loves to roast marsh mellows, well actually just burn them and leave them in the fire. She likes to lick the marsh mellows one lick at a time. :)




Lane was able to come up Monday morning as soon as he got off work and take Brookie fishing. She once again lost interest very fast, but I got 3 fish!!! I was so proud of myself. Lane on the other hand caught 1!

My Baby is 3!!!!

I can't believe I have a 3 year old! Well on her birthday September 2nd. We started off the day with breakfast at One Man Band, then we took her to Chuck E Cheese, that is where she wanted to go, just me her and Lane. Then Lane had to go to school and I had to go to work just for a couple hours. Then we got ready to the big party!! We just had family come over to my parents house and had a BBQ amd let the kids play in the water and swing set, hence the swimming suit! It was a fun day devoted all to my little munchkin!!
She was being silly and had 3 straws in her drink!

She loves to help Grandma mow the lawn. They were mowing the lawn so I could set up the swimming pools which sadly I ddin't get any pictures of them playing in it.






Just to clarify, I did NOT make her cake, are you kidding me!! I found this girls blog that makes amazing cakes, but they are a little pricy.




Some things to remember about Brookie when she is 3: (this is more for me to remember)

*she loves loves loves her Grandma's
*still has to watch Phineas and Ferb before naps and bed
*whenever she cries or get hurts she always wants daddy
*loves camping
*loves disney moves (Incredibles, Tarzan, Happy Feet are some of her favs)
*can do puzzles all by herself, big or small, she loves to do them
*tells me I look cute when I'm getting ready
*has to have a bowl of cereal every night
*loves animals but I refuse to get one at our house
*starting to not be so shy and will go up to other kids and ask them their name and if they want to play
*is a tease
*finally potty trained at night
*when I come home from work she runs and gives me a big hug and says, "you all done with work?"

This list could go on forever but I just don't want to forget. She is such a big girl and we love her to death!

So Much to Say!!!!

I have so much to post about; Brookie's birthday, labor day camping, fishing. But I have one thing on my mind that is pretty much consuming me. . .






I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally!



I say finally because we've been trying for a year. But as I look back on the past year it's been pretty tough. I miscarried at 6 weeks. Lane lost his job. I had to go back to work full time. Some of my close friends got pregnant and had babies which was extremely hard for me but at the same time I was so happy for them. Lane totally switched career paths and went back to school full time. Lane got a wonderful job at the hospital. Finances haven't been the greatest. But through all these trials we have learned and become stronger. We have a beautiful 3 year old who puts a smile on our face everyday.

We are thrilled to be pregnant, other than the fact I have been very sick the past 2 weeks throwing my guts up, which leads everyone to believe it's a boy since I wasn't this sick with Brooklyn.

I'm 12 weeks along and due March 18th!!!
