Prego Picture!

I am finally documenting this pregnancy with a picture. Here I am at 36 weeks. This is by far the biggest I have ever been. I never got to be this big at 40 weeks with Brooklyn. I'm in the last month so I'm tired and uncomfortable but so excited to meet our little guy in a few weeks!!!!!

As you can tell Brookie is so excited to be a big sister. She already loves baby brother so much!!! He still has no offical name but we call him baby Dribble which will probably stick as a nickname. Lane wants a name associated with basketball as his name kind of is. So my Dad one night was throwing out a bunch of stupid things that go along with basketball and Dribble came out and it has just kind of stuck.

We don't quite have his room all together but we have all the baby stuff out. I walked into his room one day which was Brookie's old room and found her like this!

My Sweet Sassy Brookie

I was trying to get out the door to run to get some Daylight Donuts (which are incredible!!) and to go see Cassie and baby Brynlee who Brookie adores!!! She was doing a puzzle and this was our conversation:

ME: "Come on Brookie, lets go."

HER: "Wait I'm almost done."

ME: "Ok you can finish the puzzle."

HER: "Just don't leave me, cause I can't drive. I sit in the back."

Maybe you had to be there to think it was funny. But why in the world would she think I would leave her home alone??!!

If Lane and I having a conversation and she wants something from Lane she'll saying "Daddy. . .daddy. . .daddy" and if he still doesn't respond she screams, "LANE!!!!!!"

Me and Lane were having a heated argument I don't even remember what it was about but Brookie told Lane, "Daddy you need to be nice to my mommy. You talk nice." Lane tells her OK and we continue with our argument. Well aparently he didn't do what she had told him to do and says, "Daddy, what did I tell you? I told you to be nice to my mommy and you didn't listen to me. You go to time out!!!"

Obviously she learns from me which I have tried to make more of an effort to be patient and to talk nice. But it's kind of hard not to laugh when your 3 year old tells you this.

We sure love this sweet and sassy girl and all the drama that comes with her. She is super excited to be a big sister and I know she'll be such a big helper!!!

WE LOVE YOU BROOKIE!!!!!!

Update

I haven't blogged in a while for a few reasons:

I'm tired.

I'm tired so we have done nothing fun.

I'm tired so we have done nothing fun and therefore don't have anything to blog about.

I'm feeling very pregnant and will try to take a picture of my bump since I haven't taken any this pregnancy.

Last week at 32 weeks, we spent a couple of hours in the hospital at labor and delivery. I was having contractions for a good 3 or 4 hours but they eventually stopped and was told to take it easy, which is hard to do with a 3 year to take care of and a husband who is not home very often between school and work.

We are scheduled to be induced on March 12th which is only 5 1/2 weeks away!!!!! Lane and I were putting up the crib and getting the baby's room all ready and it hit us both really hard that little man is almost here. Lane is so excited to have a little boy around the house. He still has no name. We can't decided on one and we're running out of time.

Lane is getting a little stressed out with school and work and that we're about to have a baby. But he is amazing and I know it is all going to work out! I work only about 15 hours a week which has been GREAT!!! I'm able to spend quality time with Brookie and we see Lane more often.

Life is still going and hopefully I'll have blogworthy things to blog about!

Quick Trip

Lane was planning to go to a little town of Jerome, Idaho to follow his cousin around who is a nurse anthesist (which is one of the fields he's contemplating going into.) I decided to tag along since I've cut back my hours at work to 3 days a week, wahoo!!!!
It didn't go quite as planned, Brookie was an absolute pill the entire time and hardly slept. Lane's cousin was on call which meant there wasn't a lot to show Lane. They did get called in to do an epidural on a woman that was 39 weeks pregnant and the baby had died. She still had to deliver the baby. And he got to sit in on a wound closure surgery which was pretty uneventful but Lane got to actually be in the operating room. It was good for Lane to pick his cousin's brain apart about how to live while going to school, good places to go to school and so forth. They took us to the Twin Falls bridge and we drove by the Twin Falls Temple because it was cold!!

Like I said, Brookie was a pill the whole time and wouldn't cooperate to take one family picture.

While we were there, there were people jumping off the bridge with parachutes and landing next to the water at the bottom. Not sure what it's called. . .paragliding, parachuting, who knows. Whatever it was, it was cool to watch them jump off the bridge.

Chjristmas 2009

This year for Christmas for the first time we actually did Christmas with just our little family, the 3 of us on Christmas Day. At first I was a little bit sad but then as Brookie's excitment grew, so did mine. She actually understood the whole Santa thing this year so it was fun. When she woke up on Christmas morning we went out and opened presents while I had sticky buns cooking in the dutch oven.

We didn't have to be anywhere till noon so we spent the morning playing with her new gifts and just relaxing. Here she is in this princess tent thing.

She sure got spoiled this year which I didn't purposely do. The Sleeping Beauty vanity set that she's sitting out was my big purchase on Black Friday. That is what I went out for at midnight and was at Toy's R us for for 3 hours. It was an awesome sale and she absoultely loves it! So it was worth it!

This was definately the princess year. Most everything she got was princess related.
At noon we headed over to Lane's parents home where I cooked majority of the meal. This was my first time cooking for Christmas and so not everything turned out just like my mom's. The rolls burned a little on the bottom, the cheesy vegetables were a little bit overcooked and my bannana cream pie was runny. It was still very good and now I learned a little bit for next year!
