Gingerbread houses and Temple Square

We made 2 gingerbread houses this year. We bought the kits that come with frosting and candy which I love. We got a train and a house. I didn't take any pictures of the finished product but here they are in the making.

The Train

The House

We finally made it up to Temple Square on the worst night to go. It was snowing and cold, the roads were a little bit scary on the way up but I'm so glad we went. Brookie loved looking at the lights and it was a good night out with our friends. My camera didn't take very good pictures which I'm mad but oh well.

You can't tell in this picture but it's all of us. Todd and Rachel, Lane Brookie and Me, and Cassie and Matt.

The girls. Rachel, Me, Cassie and yes Brookie is covered up in the stroller. The snow was getting in her eyes and she didn't like it.

This was inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Buidling. We were trying to take a good family picture but Brooklyn wasn't cooperating.

Just Chillin
I love this picture. Brookie sure does love her Daddy!

All bundled up, ready to go!

The most decent family picture. Do you See my baby bump under the coat?

Christmas Party

Every year my mom's side of the family has a Christmas party. It was only my parents, Erin and me and Brookie that represented our family which was pretty pathetic. Here is Brooklyn's typical look, a scowl. Are you suprised? I'm sure not!

Brookie took this picture of me, not bad.
Waiting so patiently to open her present from Grandma and Grandpa Twiggs
Tear into it babe!
This picture is priceless. This is my cousin's little girl so I'm not sure what that would make them but they have played a couple times and are so cute! Her name is Ella but Brookie calles her Nilla. Ella was showing Brookie what she got and Brooklyn was so excited for her, and excited for what she got too.

They had a pinata which was Brooklyn's first expeirence with that. I think she was a little nervous but as you can see once she got the candy she was in Heaven!

Showing me all her candy! She is definately Lane and mine's child. If you ask her what she asked Santa for Christmas she'll tell you candy. Lane and I have the biggest sweet tooth. We always have some sort of candy in our house. We are excited for Christmas this year with Brookie because she is at a fun age and she understands the whole Santa thing!

Festival of Trees

I haven't been able to talk myself into blogging lately. So I'm a little bit behind. The beginning of December we went to Festival of Trees which has become a family tradition for the Pont side of the family. We've done it for the past 3 years. This was the first year of sitting on Santas lap that there were no tears. Doesn't necessarily mean there were smiles, just no tears. I may have been a little bit smarter this year and prepped her to sit on Santa's lap. I told her every day for a few days before where we were going. She didn't make eye contact with him or talk to him but it's better than screaming!

These are Lane's older brothers 2 kids. Jayden is 4, Brooklyn is 3, and Kaylie is 2 1/2.
Brookie loves marsh mellows!

Lane's mom is on the committee so she had to show off her adorable grandchildren!

They have a kids korner filled with fun things to do. I thought it was face painting but it was a temporary tattoo so we put it on her hand instead of her face.

Nutcracker

Brookie was in the Nutcracker this year and I was extremely proud of her. It has been so fun to watch her dance. She was one of the little party girls at the very beginning. She danced the entire time. She is sure coming out of her shell and not being so shy which I absolutely love!!

This is her friend Lexi, who she absolutely adores! I didn't get a picture of Eva but the 3 of them are best friends!!

I didn't get a picture of her onstage but she did so good!!!

This was at the end of the night. My parents and grandparents came to watch her and she was so excited!

Look at that cute bum!!!! :)

Disney on Ice

A few weeks ago we took Brookie to Disney on Ice: Princesses and it was the best thing we could have ever done! It was so cool and Brookie is still telling us about it to this day. She wanted to wear her Cinderella dress which I would've never thought of so, GO Brookie!!!!

Afterwards we went to Cheesecake Factory and got dinner. It was pretty late at that point, I was exhausted and I think Brookie was too. We had so much fun though!

The "Real" Ultrasound

I had my "real" ultrasound appointment today. By "real" I mean my normal doctor did it, not the place in the mall. Sadly enough I have gained 4 pounds in 3 weeks!!!! Are we kidding???!!! It's always fun to be able to see the baby growing inside of you. The doctor says it's definately a BOY!!! And he has long fingers and a big head. After we were done I asked, "Everything looks good, right?" He said, "No, everything looks GREAT!!!!" Which is a huge relief, you always worry something will be wrong. Here is our little guy at 21 weeks.

Halloween!!

My sister-in-law is going to Hair School and her school was having a little thing at their school for Halloween. So I took Brookie and her 2 kids over there. They had all sorts of little games to do. We put one little hair extension in the girls hair, which Brookie still has it, she loves it. They got their faces painted.

Brookie getting a star.

Kaylie got a flower

Jayden got a spider web.

Later on in the day I took my sweet Cinderella to the downtown park where businesses were handing out candy. It was pretty lame but she was just excited to be getting candy.

Showing me her pretzels she got.

Here she is completely ready, gloves and all. I'm not quite sure what the head tilt is in all the pictures. She was doing it in every picture we took.

After the park, we went to my parents house. My mom has a tradition of making taco soup, corn bread and homemade root beer every year on Halloween. So we filled our tummies before I took her to our ward's and another wards trunk or trick. Whoever thought of those, is brilliant!!! She got more than enough candy and we were done within 30 minutes. Brooklyn was completely content with what she got. She kept saying, "Mom that was so much fun!"
